Dae leverages over a decade of entrepreneurship, integrated marketing, and business management experience to develop curriculum that explores various sectors of the music industry from the lens of innovation and entrepreneurship. A practical educator, Dae’s programs often feature guest speakers from emerging music tech startups to music industry professionals from world-renowned brands. Placing high value on networking, interpersonal, and leadership skills, Dae also features group projects as a core component of most of his campus-based classes.
Dae holds an M.A. in Music Industry Administration from California State University, Northridge and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
In addition to teaching, Dae also enjoys speaking at music industry conferences such as SXSW, where he is a Music Mentor, and writing music business articles that have been published in a on trade websites, in print, and renowned music industry blogs.
