Sometimes A Handshake Seals The Deal

I’m usually an advocate of paperwork; of written agreements. In the entertainment industry, you never know if a deal (or relationship) might go sour. Protecting yourself, your ideas and your interests is essential for growth and progress. However, sometimes good old fashion trust has been the glue by which big moves have been pieced together. To that end, the first significant content deal I brokered on behalf of my music tech startup, ChazBo Music, was executed by a simple handshake with entertainer and entrepreneur Nick Cannon (on behalf of his company Ncredible Entertainment). In this day and age, trust is a precious stone – hard to acquire and easy to lose. I’m proud to maintain trusting relationships with many of my entertainment industry friends and colleagues.
